JOY COMES IN SEEING THE LOST GET FOUND

Real joy is doing what Jesus did— dying to self to save others. Real joy is what Paul is sharing in 1 Thess. 2:19 to the Thessalonian believers who had received the gospel…“You are our joy and crown of rejoicing…” 

Let me tell you how to be filled with joy— WITNESS!

Lead somebody to Jesus Christ! You will be so filled with joy when you’re sharing the good news and when that person says, “ok, i’ll recieve Christ.” 

It is the GREATEST joy in the world to see somebody receive Jesus Christ. Somebody you’ve been praying for, somebody you’ve been sharing with, somebody you’ve been witnessing to. Thats what brings joy. Dying to self, taking the hits, being misunderstood, being put down, being persecuted by some, but saying i don’t care. Some will receive, some will respond and when they do.. it will be well worth it. 

“Jesus, who for the joy set before him (seeing people saved), endured the cross.”

So here’s my encouragement and challenge for you guys:

Go out and witness and lead people to Christ! You will then say like Paul said that day to the Thessalonian church…. the ones that he had witnessed to and led to Jesus, and discipled, and prayed for… “YOU ARE OUR JOY. YOU ARE OUR CROWN OF REJOICING.”

And if you’re not joyful could it be… if you’re grumpy might it be… because you’ve stopped witnessing?

I find that truly there is no greater joy for me than to see people come to Christ, to share with people about Christ, and to see the LOST GET FOUND. That’s the REAL JOY you see….
